How to be part of Chietón Morén as a volunteer?

The project is supported by the work of a team of volunteers and students of the University of Costa Rica and other universities. These students carry out their university community work, contributing one day a week.

Normally, no person receives a salary in Chietón Morén. Personnel are hired only for small periods, part time and in high season, if absolutely necessary.

Most of these volunteers are retired people, students, and housewives, who contribute their work in solidarity.

We continually employ volunteers who perform various tasks throughout the month:

  • Attend carefully the artisans in the first week of each month when they arrive with their products.

  • Elaborate the labels used in the shop.

  • Code, label, and put in display the products that arrived.

  • Keep beautiful the display.

  • Prepare inventories and monthly reports.

  • Inform and guide the visitors in the museum and the shop.

  • Clean up.

  • Visit communities when it is required.

  • Support the core team in cultural events and fairs.

The project works from Monday to Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. You can contact us in case you want to join, even if it is a few hours weekly.

We are located on the17th Street, 2nd and 6th Avenue No. 225. From the southeast corner of the National Museum, 25 meters south.

The harvest is great and the workers are few. The decision is yours!
